Iron Mountain and Chenega Applied Solutions Awarded Contract by the Federal Bureau of PrisonsRESTON, Va., Feb. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Iron Mountain Incorporated® (NYSE:IRM), the global leader in storage and information management services, announced today that it will be teaming with Chenega Applied Solutions LLC, an Alaska Native Small Business specializing in records management, information technology, facilities management, training, and intelligence solutions, to provide the Federal Bureau of Prisons with off-site records management storage and services. The contract is for five years, including one base year and four option years. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is a law enforcement agency within the Department of Justice, responsible for the administration of the Federal Prison System, which encompasses approximately 190,000 inmates across 122 facilities. This responsibility entails keeping custody of records of those inmates that include personnel, medical, and parole information. Leveraging a combination of Chenega Applied Solutions' in-house records management staffing and program management expertise, and Iron Mountain off-site records management storage and services, it is estimated that the Bureau can reduce operational costs by 20 percent over current levels, while significantly increasing overall quality of service.
