"He brings remarkable leadership qualities and significant experience in advisory engagements that will foster continued success for our clients." Wallig will serve as office managing partner for the firm's Metro DC office, located in Arlington, Virginia, and will work closely with leaders from the irm's Public Sector and Washington National Tax Office. He succeeds Jamie Fowler in the office managing partner role, who now serves as the firm's national managing partner of Tax Services. Wallig joined Grant Thornton in 2005, starting in the firm's San Francisco office. He spent five years as leader of the Public Sector Risk Advisory service line, and also helped to found the Public Sector Audit practice, serving as that practice's first Information Assurance leader. For the past three years, Wallig led the firm's Advisory practice in Bangalore, India, which grew exponentially during that time. He has served as the Advisory Services Regional Leader for the Atlantic Coast for the past 18 months. A resident of Arlington, Wallig serves on the Board of the Masters of Science in Business Analytics program at the College of William & Mary, where he received his bachelor's degree. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and he is Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT).
