Chicago Virtual Charter School Now Accepting Enrollments for 2018-2019 School YearChicago Virtual Charter School (CVCS), a full-time, online public school, is now accepting enrollment applications for the 2018-2019 school year. Open tuition-free to all students in grades K-12 who reside in Chicago, CVCS uses a blended learning model - combining online learning with in-person instruction - to ensure every student receives a high-quality learning experience. Through its personalized learning model, CVCS connects students with their teachers and peers in a virtual classroom setting. In addition to their online courses, students meet in-person once a week at the CVCS Learning Center. Centrally located in the West Loop, the Learning Center gives students opportunities to collaborate with their peers in person, meet face-to-face with their teachers, and foster a sense of school community. "CVCS is committed to providing our students with a superior online education experience," says Dr. Richard Lbron, Head of School at CVCS. "Through our unique blended model, teachers, students and families work in partnership on an education plan that meets each student's unique learning needs." Students at CVCS are offered a full course load in the core subjects of math, science, language arts, history and art, as well as high school honors and AP® courses. CVCS students receive instruction from their state-certified teachers during live, interactive online classes and at the Learning Center, as well as through recorded sessions.
