Legislators' Trolley Tour to Highlight School Choice

Alabama lawmakers will join the Alabama Opportunity Scholarship Fund at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25 for a trolley tour, beginning at the Alabama Statehouse and stopping at local schools for a luncheon and tours.

This event is planned to coincide with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2018, which will feature more than 32,000 school choice events across all 50 states.

"Year after year our Alabama School Choice Rally in Montgomery continues to grow. Not only that but we have seen demand for education options explode across the state and we're excited to be hosting several regional events this week," said Lesley Searcy, executive director of the Alabama Opportunity Scholarship Fund. "Parents in Alabama want more options, students in Alabama deserve more opportunities, and the time for our legislatos to act boldly is now!"

The tour includes the following stops:
Valiant Cross Academy, 301 Dexter Ave. - Noon
Churchill Academy, 395 Ray Thorington Rd. - 1 p.m.
