Comporium announced today the availability of the ReadyHome smart home skill for Alexa, giving the home-automation and security system a leap forward in user convenience. Now ReadyHome customers can use an Alexa-enabled device and the ReadyHome smart home skill to control their lighting and thermostats using just their voice. Lights that are a part of the system can be turned on or off, set to various levels of brightness, and can be grouped to change in unison using the Alexa app. If they're feeling a little too hot or cold in the room, customers can use voice commands to control their connected thermostat as well. In addition to the ReadyHome uses, customers can ask Alexa to play music, make calls, send and receive messages, get information, news, sports scores, weather, and more - instantly. Alexa is continually improving and adding new features in addition to offering tens of thousands of skills. The Alexa App is available for Fire OS, Android (News - Alert), and iOS devices, and accessible via your web browser. If you already have an Alexa-enabled device, you can connect it to your ReadyHome System. Setup is as easy as enabling the Comporium ReadyHome skill from www.amazon.com/skills and connecting your Alexa-enabled device to your ReadyHome System. Comporium will be carrying the Echo Dot at many of its retail locations. New ReadyHome customers can take advantage of Comporium's current offer, $39.99/monthly for service and a $99 installation fee, and choose to add an Echo Dot as one of two free add-on accessories.
