Veranda LUXE Cinema & IMAX to Deliver Ultramodern Sights, Sounds and Tastes

The Veranda, the East Bay's newest destination for contemporary shopping, dining and entertainment, will introduce a new "LUXE" experience in movie going. Veranda LUXE Cinema & IMAX, a 10-screen theater, owned and operated by Cinema West, will be the first theater in North America to fully integrate Dolby Atmos® sound. The theater will open on Thursday, December 14 at 7 p.m. with limited showings of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Dolby Atmos® sound technology is a leap forward from surround sound, making audiences feel as if they are inside the action of the movie as the sounds of people, places, things and music come alive with breathtaking realism and move throughout the auditorium. Dolby Atmos will be installed across 9 of the 10 auditoriums paired with Cinema West's own GIANT SCREEN® amenity on the two largest screens.

Veranda LUXE Cinema & IMAX will also feature an immersive IMAX® auditorium complete with an 80-foot-wide by 4-story-tall screen taking audiences deeper into the world's most innovative movie-going experience with its heart pounding audio and images.

Viewers can enjoy these top of the line sound and screen amenities from luxury electric recliners and convenient reserved seating. The LUXE experience will also come with in-theater dining, a full bar, a plush dning lounge, and an outdoor dining patio with a spectacular view of The Veranda's dancing fountain out on the plaza. All of these amenities can be enjoyed before, after, or even without a movie, where guests will be able to enjoy drinks, appetizers, lunch or dinner.
