Product School Expands to 14 Campuses Globally, Providing Technical Talent with Graduate-Level Courses in Product Management, Coding and Data Analytics

Technology companies are struggling to hire the talent needed to develop new products and maintain their competitive advantage. An Indeed study revealed that 86% of 1,000 HR managers and recruiters surveyed find it challenging to find and hire technical talent. Product School, the world's first technology business school, is addressing this talent crisis by expanding the number of campuses to 14, offering expert instruction in Product Management, Coding and Data Analytics, across North America and Europe.

"Skyrocketing demand for coding and data jobs is being met with minimal supply. The more jobs there are, the greater the need for managers who understand those technical skills so that they can oversee those teams," said Carlos Gonzalez de Villaumbrosia, Product School founder and author of The Product Book: How to Become a Great Product Manager.

"MBA programs don't teach the technical skills and tools managers need to lead cross-functional teams in technology companies. As a result, Product School has seen high enrollment numbers from business people seeking coding and data analytics skills, as well as from software engineers who want to lean the business skills needed to become product managers," added Gonzalez de Villaumbrosia.

14 Campus Locations

Product School heads into 2018 with 14 total campuses. The curriculum is designed to fit into work schedules with all classes held in-person at night or on weekends to ensure that both instructors and students can maintain their full-time jobs. With the addition of TEN new campuses in 2017, Product School now offers its popular courses to students in:

  • California - Los Angeles, Orange (News - Alert) County, San Francisco, Santa Monica, and Silicon Valley
  • Colorado - Boulder, Denver
  • Massachusetts - Boston
  • New York - New York City
  • Illinois - Chicago
  • Texas - Austin
  • Washington - Seattle
  • International
    • Canada - Toronto
    • Europe - London

"Product School is filling an important void in the workforce. Half of our students are women, helping to better balance the gender ratio in tech," added Gonzalez de Villaumbrosia. "In addition, we have interest in corporate training programs, indicating employers recognize the value in advancing the skills of their existing teams, rather than undergoing lengthy recruitment searches."

Real-World Technical Curriculum and Preparation

Product School students learn how to build software products and manage technical teams through rigorous hands-on exercises and case studies, taught by instructors who work as senior-level product managers at the best technology companies in the world, such as Google, Facebook (News - Alert), Airbnb, Slack, Spotify, and Uber.

Product School students are also prepared for product management interviews and able to expand their professional network through access to a private community of 20,000 alumni, including mentors and hiring managers from top technology companies.

The ROI is notable. For instance, former consultant Luis Fernando DeLeon explained, "Building a side project as part of my Product School coursework helped me stand out from other candidates and land a new position at Google (News - Alert) that increased my salary 18%. Now, I am the Chief Product Officer at an education technology startup."
