Wolf Greenfield Shareholder Jeffrey D. Hsi Honored with Community Service Award

Intellectual property (IP) law firm Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, P.C. announced that shareholder Jeffrey D. Hsi has received the Community Service Award from the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts (AALAM).

Since 2000, AALAM and the Dow Fund have awarded the AALAM Community Service Award to an attorney who makes significant contributions to the community outside of his or her day job. Hsi was honored at the annual Harry H. Dow Memorial Legal Assistance Fund Dinner held in Boston on December 1, 2017.

Throughout his career, Hsi has been involved in a wide range of community service activities, many supporting the Asian American community. He is past president of the AALAM and served on its Executive Board for seven years, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC (Asian American Justice Center) in Washington, D.C. He also serves on that organization's Executive Committee and chairs its Policy and Programs Committee.

"We're so proud that Jeff is being recognized for his tireles community service efforts," said Mike Rader, chair of Wolf Greenfield's Charitable Committee and a member of its Public Service Committee. "Community engagement is one of our core values, and Jeff exemplifies this value in the best tradition of our firm."

Hsi regularly participates as a volunteer in the Asian American Election Protection Project of the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund. He previously served on the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Board of Governors. He was also co-chair of the NAPABA 2009 National Convention Host Steering Committee in Boston and served on the NAPABA Committee on Regional Conferences.

"I'm truly honored to receive this award," said Hsi, who is a member of Wolf Greenfield's Pharmaceutical Group. "AALAM is a fantastic organization dedicated to serving the Asian American legal community and Massachusetts at large, and it's a privilege to have the opportunity to contribute to its mission of improving and facilitating the administration of law and justice, and promoting a fair and equitable society for all."

Hsi is also a member of the Rutgers Law School Minority Student Program (MSP) 50th Anniversary Alumni Committee, and previously served as a member of the Rutgers Law School MSP Legacy Alumni Campaign Committee and as a member of the Board of Trustees of Kalamazoo College, where he served on the Audit Committee and the Finance Committee.
