Xoran's intraoperative CT, xCAT appeared on the 300th episode of Grey's Anatomy performing a CT scan during a surgery, which helped a doctor make a life-saving discovery.

Xoran Technologies, the innovator and market leader in medical CT since 2001, is proud to announce its participation in the 300th episode of Grey's Anatomy, the popular medical drama series aired on ABC network. Xoran's intraoperative CT scanner, xCAT, was featured performing an emergency CT scan during surgery, which led a doctor to make a discovery that saved a patient's life.

After Grey's Anatomy lead, Owen, played by Kevin McKidd, declined to have a patient's head CT-scanned prior to surgery. Amelia, played by actress Caterina Scorsone, takes matters into her own hands and brings the CT into the OR, just as the patient's surgery is about to begin.

Xoran's xCAT is quickly wheeled in while the OR team stands in shock. Amelia declares that a head CT is non-negotiable and that she will scan the patient right away.

The xCAT gantry rotates around the patient's head to generate CT images quickly, and melia uses the CT images to easily diagnose that the patient needed to be operated on immediately.

Owen comments, "It's so easy."
