IOGEAR Expands Portfolio of Award-Winning Ultra Long Range Wireless Video Solutions

IOGEAR, a manufacturer of innovative information technology products for consumers and small- to medium-sized businesses, today announced the expansion of its award-winning portfolio of wireless video solutions with the launch of the GWLR Ultra Long Range Series.

Ideal for use in digital signage or hospitality environments, the GWLR family of wireless video transmitters and receivers eliminate the need for expensive video cabling and enable users to transmit high-quality video over distances up to 600 feet without sacrificing picture and sound quality. The mix-and-match solution features high-performance transmitters and receivers that support HDMI, DVI or VGA enabling users to easily transmit video between source and display devices that have different interfaces.

The GLWR Ultra Long Range Series family includes:

Key Features of the GWLR Ultra Long Range Series:

  • Transmit Video over Long Distances - Allows wireless transmission of A/V signals from a source device such as a PC to a display, projector, or digital sign at distances up to 600 feet line-of-sight without sacrificing video or audio quality.
  • Mix-and-Match Solution - Ability to mix and match HDMI, DVI and VGA receivers and transmitters eliminates the need for adapters when transmitting A/V signals between source and display devices with different interfaces.
  • Remote Source (News - Alert) Control - HDMI receiver (GWLRHDRX) Includes an IR blast cable and IR extension cable which allows users to control the source device remotely by simply pointing the remote control at the receiver.
  • Cut the Cord, Cut the Cost - Supports HD resolutions up to 1080p enabling users to eliminate expensive cables and long cable runs without sacrificing picture quality.
  • Versatile Solution for Multiple Applications - Designed for digital signage and applications where A/V signals need to be transmitted long distances such as restaurants, retail stores, airports, houses of worship, concerts, sporting events, and venues.

"The challenges of moving A/V signals over long distances between the source and display equipment include the need for long cable runs and incompatibilities between the video interfaces of the source and display devices. Projects that seem simple and straightforward can easily become complex and expensive," explained Alan Sarutanond, product manager at IOGEAR. "Our new GWLR series eliminates those issues and provides users with the ability to select the transmitters and receivers that match the interfaces of their devices and easily transmit high-resolution A/V signals between them."

The IOGEAR GWLR Ultra Long Range Series products are available now at a MSRP of $199.95 and carry a limited one-year warranty.
