C.H. Robinson Gives Back to Ronald McDonald House Charities in FloridaC.H. Robinson, a global third party logistics (3PL) company, and its offices in Orlando and Jacksonville contributed to a month-long, company-wide, employee-led giving campaign. This year's campaign raised a total of $791,000 for a variety of charities, including local chapters of the Ronald McDonald House Charities. In addition to the Robinson Cares campaign fundraising, employees accumulated more than 1,450 volunteer hours, helping their neighbors in need. The Orlando office hosted several internal fundraising events, donating the proceeds to Ronald McDonald House Charities in Orlando, and employees made lunch and dinner for people staying at the house. In addition, the employees hosted multiple hurricane relief drives, collecting clothes, food, toys and supplies for the victims of the hurricane in Florida and Puerto Rico. "It was rewarding to support those communities and help the people who were affected get through a very difficult ime," said Francisco DaCruz, Jr., coordinator at C.H. Robinson. This was the Jacksonville office's first year working with Ronald McDonald House. The employees raised money through activities including a silent auction. "We enjoyed supporting such a great cause and are already planning fundraising events for next year," said Phillip Gore, carrier representative at C.H. Robinson. "Additionally, we hosted our second annual volunteer event with HabiJax. We partnered once again with students at the University of North Florida to help construct homes for those in need." Since 2005, C.H. Robinson, along with its Foundation, has given over $23 million back to our communities. "Our employees are the best in the industry - not just in their supply chain expertise, but their dedication to making an impact in their communities on the issues that matter to them most," said Angie Freeman, chief human resources officer at C.H. Robinson. "Because of them, we were able to support more than 250 nonprofits working locally and globally."
