The Spirit of Life Award, City of Hope's highest honor, was presented to Martin at a gala dinner in New York on September 15. Each year, the award recognizes individuals whose work has fundamentally impacted his or her service industries. Martin, a veteran of the retirement, insurance and financial services industries with more than 40 years of high-profile experience, has been instrumental to the NLIC's success. The event was host to more than 350 leaders and guests. Martin's focus was not just to raise funds, but to build and sustain a national effort in the insurance community for many more years to come.
