Panasonic (News - Alert) Healthcare Corporation of North America has accepted the results of independent testing by a nationally recognized testing laboratory confirming the company's new VIP ECO -86°C upright ultra-low temperature freezer as the most energy efficient in the industry. Panasonic Healthcare's VIP ECO joins its product line, known worldwide for reliability and dependability for storage of high-value biologicals and life science materials.

The VIP ECO freezer is designed to operate on an innovative variable differential cascade refrigeration system using natural refrigerants. The combination of variable speed compressors with intuitive internal monitoring and feedback systems maintains a balance between power consumption and temperature control to minimize energy use and to assist facility users in meeting environmental sustainability goals without compromising performance.
