Former Veracode and Recorded Future Executives Join Edgewise Networks to Accelerate Growth and InnovationEdgewise Networks, the creator of Trusted Application Networking, today announced the expansion of its executive leadership team with two key hires who are positioned to accelerate growth and innovation. Tom Hickman, VP of Engineering, and Nagraj Seshadri, VP of Marketing, bring a wealth of startup experience, which will allow Edgewise to accelerate product development and refine its go-to-market strategy. Less than three months after emerging from stealth, Hickman and Seshadri will help the Edgewise team as they revolutionize network security in the cloud and data center by proactively preventing application compromise and attack progression of network-borne threats. Edgewise will be Hickman's eighth startup. Past roles have included Director of Global Sourcing at Iron Mountain (News - Alert) where he built and maintained a global outsourcing center of excellence, and Vice President of Engineering at My Perfect Gig, an agile development firm that built data-filled search and analytic software for the technology recruiting market. Most recently, Hickman served as the Vice President of Engineering at Veracode where he led engineering and product strategy, helping to grow Veracode from a single product company to a multi-product security platform that was recently acquired by CA (News - Alert) Technologies for more than $600 million. "In my most recent role as VP of Engineering at Veracode, we had an awesome rallying cry: 'Protect the software that runs the world!' Suffice to say I believe in the cause of application security. Seshadri is an industry veteran who has held marketing leadership roles at a number of high-growth security and enterprise IT startups. At Utimaco (News - Alert) Safeware he helped the company launch a new mobile data protection solution. Following the company's acquisition by Sophos, Seshadri led product marketing for the company's data protection line. At Dynatrace he helped launch the industry's first solution that combined application performance and user experience management, contributing to significant revenue growth that continued through Dynatrace's acquisition by Compuware (News - Alert). Before its acquisition by Cisco, Seshadri started and led marketing at ThreatGRID, and most recently at Recorded Future he led marketing to position the company as a leader in threat intelligence, helping the team acquire a strong composition of Global 2000 clients.
