"Employers should be sure to paint a vivid picture of growth opportunities when recruiting tech workers." "In addition to discussing career paths during the hiring process, managers should regularly check in to ensure their team members feel challenged and engaged," noted Reed. "Recruiting doesn't end once someone's in the seat. It's an ongoing process," he said. Likewise, salary checks should also be ongoing, according to Reed. "Compensation will always be a top consideration for employees, and an annual salary review may not suffice when trying to ensure you are keeping pace with trends, especially for those in high demand roles," he said.
