Advanced Oil Trading Strategies: Physical and Derivatives Course (Dubai, United Arab Emirates - November 14-16, 2017) - Research and MarketsThe "Advanced Oil Trading Strategies: Physical and Derivatives" conference has been added to Research and Markets' offering. This course has been developed as an interactive team based trading course, facilitated by trading/educational specialist who have experience, of both physical and derivative trading. The course is not designed to be a trading simulation, but rather a unique learning experience where trading techniques are explained and shared with delegates. At the outset teams will be given physical oil positions to trade and manage. Teams will be encouraged to analyze market data and make trading decisions. Each team will have a variety of challenges depending on the product (crude or refined) that they are trading. Decisions will be reviewed and discussedin an interactive environment, where seasoned trader (the course facilitator) will be giving feedback, and training on how to best apply market information. The teams will then look at how to hedge their physical positions, considering when to hedge, which is the best instrument to hedge with, and what basis risks they must live with in real trading. Decisions will be reviewed constantly as market conditions change over the course of the three-day period, at the end of which positions will be closed and hedges unwound. There will also be the chance for teams to take and manage derivative positions, whilst learning the choices and dimensions of physical versus derivative trading. The course fee covers:
