SANS Miami Security Training Event to Help InfoSec Professionals Better Prepare for Cyber Attacks and Data Breaches

BETHESDA, Md., Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced SANS Miami 2017 taking place November 6 - 11. SANS Miami 2017 will feature hands-on immersion style training courses taught by some of the industry's most influential cyber security experts. Included among the list of instructors is Carlos Cajigas (@Carlos_Cajigas), a Senior Incident Response Analyst at IBM and instructor of the SANS FOR500: Windows Forensic Analysis course.

According to Cajigas, "My teaching philosophy is simple, I strive to empower each student by developing their ability to conquer knowledge of a forensic technique, using demonstrations and the sharing of real-life applications and implications as to why a technique is important. I want my students to know which specific artifacts to analyze regardless of the tool chosen for the analysis."

"The days of imaging and processing extremely large hard drives for hours before beginning analysis is a thing of the past," says Carlos. "Taking into consideration limited resources and manpower, today's examiners must be as efficient as possible in what we do and how we do it; join me at SANS Miami at the FOR500: Windows Forensic Analysis course where I will show you how."

FOR500: Windows Forensic Analysis focuses on buildng in-depth digital forensics knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems. You can't protect what you don't know about, and understanding forensic capabilities and artifacts is a core component of information security.
