eQHealth Solutions Names New State Director, Florida, Government Operations

eQHealth Solutions, a leader in population health management solutions, announced Lori Kools, RN, BSN, CCM (News - Alert) has joined the eQHealth team as the State Director, Florida, Government Operations. As part of eQHealth's partnership with the state of Florida, Kools will direct utilization management service for inpatient and outpatient services and care coordination in a variety of settings.

Lori brings more than 30 years of experience in nursing and more than 17 years of experience in managed care settings. Her background includes medical case management for Medicare, Medicaid, Dual Eligible Special Need Plans (D-SNP), medically fragile children, utilization management review, disease management, quality improvement and compliance management. She also has 13 years' experience in leadership management for diverse teams including telecommute operation, field and telephonic case management, triage and care coordinator teams. Her clinical experience is composed of work in orthopedic, cardiac, and general surgery for both the operating room and the emergency room departments. Lori most recently served as the Director, Field and Telephonic Case Management for WellCare Health Plans, Inc. and oversaw nine field offices and 130 staff members across the state of Florida.
