Appnext, TUNE and Fetch to Hold the App Valley Summit to Discuss the Future of Apps

Appnext, a leading mobile discovery platform company, will host a full day, dedicated app summit, under the auspices of CTIA's Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) Americas, to discuss the future of apps. The event titled App Valley will be held with Appnext's two major partners in The U.S - mobile analytics and performance marketing platform TUNE and mobile-first digital agency Fetch. Hosted by MWC Americas, App Valley will take place on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at the Moscone West, Level 2, Theater 2018, San Francisco, CA (News - Alert), 9am to 5pm. For registration click here.

App Valley, an app-dedicated summit within the biggest mobile event of the year, will concentrate on the future of apps and will raise the important question for developers and advertisers alike: Are we in the middle of an "appocalypse"? Is app growth obsolete? How can developers and advertisers benefit from the "app post era"? What about user retention? And,Is ad tech boring? The event will host some of the hottest names in the industry: Pinterest's John Egan, MeetMe's Catherine Cook, TechCrunch's Josh Constine, TUNE's Peter Hamilton, Fetch's Guillaume Lelait and many more.

It is no secret that the biggest challenges nowadays is driving app usage and user retention. A recent report showed that the top 15 apps exhibited a 20% decline year-over-year, accompanied by only a 3% growth. Meanwhile, today's average U.S. user installs only 1.2 new apps as compared to 6.25 in 2013. Still, app development is far from going out of style. In fact, the total number of apps available in Apple's (News - Alert) App Store has reached 2.2 million-almost double of what it was three years ago, while Google (News - Alert) Play offers 3 million apps.

There is no doubt that while download rates are decreasing, user acquisition budgets are hitting the roof, and companies now need to do more to earn the trust and loyalty of the user. The name of the game is now engagement, not downloads.

App Valley will tackle these issues and more. It will discuss the ways app marketers and business executives alike can benefit from the "post-app era," user retention, building a "super app" to last and providing real added value to the users.

Join us at App Valley to be at the forefront of these upcoming changes.
