Disabled Veteran Stakes Future of Unorthodox Web-Based Weight Loss Blueprint on Crowd Funding

ATLANTA, Aug. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Strong Mind. Strong Body. Project. is a web-based digital wellness blueprint that incorporates a series of unorthodox twists on the typical mainstream approach to healthy weight loss. The Project. is a private online membership community created by NCSF Certified Personal Trainer and disabled U.S. Navy veteran Erik Welker, along with his wife and co-founder of the Project. Jessica Welker.

Experience powerful audio/video lessons direct from our studio. Strengthen both mind and body with our 3-phase training...

The Project. is a once-daily template of audio/video lessons, which take one hour or less to complete, designed to assist individuals facing significant health challenges including obesity, diabetes/pre-diabetes, limited range of motion, and aging. Each daily template is divided into 3 distinct sections, or phases, including training your brain, fueling your body, and exercising for ironclad health.

The Project. begins with a 5-day orientation, followed by a rolling 9-week cycle that perpetually re-creates itself. With each daily lesson plan users can expect a wide variety of teaching methodologies rooted in science including meditation, positive thinking, positive affirmations, uplifting short stories, simple-to-follow exercises, healthy cooking and eating, and an expert-driven Q&A forum to command real, lasting and measurable results. The Project. alsoprovides 5 different levels of exercise to accommodate most users, ranging from a sitting-only routine to a P90X-style of training.

"The Strong Mind. Strong Body. Project. represents a complete paradigm shift in the way we've been conditioned to think about weight loss," Erik said. Poised to shake up the entire wellness industry, Erik goes on to say, "…healthy, sustainable weight loss is first achieved in the mind, then in our actions, and the body will follow."

The Project is ready for BETA testing. The Welkers have partnered with the popular online crowd funding platform INDIEGOGO to connect with people interested in participating in the first-ever cycle, and providing results and feedback. Jessica mentions, "The best contributors will be those who feel they can greatly benefit from what the Strong Mind. Strong Body. Project. has to offer."
