Aviat Announces $4 Million in Follow-On Orders from Southeast USA Utilities

(NASDAQ: AVNW), the leading expert in microwave networking solutions, today announced it has received $4.0 million in follow-on orders from five utility customers in the US Southeast region. Received in the Company's fiscal 2017 fourth quarter, these orders involve upgrades to communications infrastructure to support the addition of new substations and power generation facilities. These orders also include the introduction of new high bandwidth applications such as video and security, while maintaining critical services like grid monitoring and protection.

U.S. utilities depend on Aviat's hybrid, mission-critical radio platform, the IRU 600. Its extra high power (EHP) option allows utilities to achieve more capacity, higher reliability, smaller antennas, and longer paths.
