SheKnows Media, a leading women's media company that averages 60 million unique visitors per month (comScore (News - Alert)) and reaches more than 300 million social media fans, today announced the launch of a new #HatchKids video series called "Advice to My 7th Grade Self," which gives tween girls and boys an opportunity to ask adults they look up to what they would have told their younger selves about surviving puberty, middle school and high school, overcoming their insecurities and acquiring self-confidence, as well as finding the courage to chase their dreams.

"Everyone wishes at some point they could send a message to their preteen self, assuring that awkward and self-conscious young girl or boy that the awkwardness will soon come to an end, that they are beautiful, strong, and capable of so much - even now," said Samantha Skey, President, SheKnows Media. "We created 'Advice to My 7th Grade Self' to offer an insightful, inspirational, entertaining and at times provocative view into Generation Z's most pressing questions about life."

"Advice to My 7th Grade Self" will take place live during the closing keynote at #BlogHer17 on June 24th in Orlando. Reed, Zaki, Elyssa and Jo-Jo - all of whom range in age between 12 and 13 and are part of Hatch, SheKnows Media's digital literacy and citizenship program - will take the stage to find out what professional surfer Quincy Davis and Charli Howard, a model and advocate for girls' self-esteem and body positivity, would tell their younger tween selves. The conversation will be moderated by volleyball great and Olympic gold medalist Gabrielle Reece, who is also a TV personality, spokesperson activist, author and mother.

Howard, who previously sat down with Hatch for a video workshop on her #MoreThanANumber campaign, said, "I spent years at an unhealthy weight before I finally had enough and publicly criticized an agency that told me I was too big to model. There is so much happiness to be gained when you love and believe in yourself. I am excited to work with Hatch again to empower young girls to realize their self-worth from an early age, and to have the confidence to go after whatever they want in life."

The first installment of "Advice to My 7th Grade Self" will feature a group of Hatch kids and Davis, and will debut during the #BlogHer17 keynote. #BlogHer is a premier conference for women content creators that attracts more than 2,000 women bloggers, vloggers, writers, social media influencers, entrepreneurs, industry luminaries, brand executives and thought leaders each year.
