The 2017 community recipients join 142 Sunrise assisted living communities that earned the Bronze National Quality Award over the previous two years, for a total of 181 - the most of any assisted living provider. Visit Sunrise's National Quality Award page for a full listing of the company's recipients.

"Providing high-quality care is the foundation for everything we do at Sunrise," said Sue Coppola, SVP of Care. "We remain focused on promoting the health and wellness needs of our residents by delivering person-centered care, which includes Designated Care Managers who get to know residents' personal needs and preferences, based on their Individualized Service Plan."

"All of our communities continuously work to improve our resident-centered approach to care, said Ed McMahon, Ph.D., VP of Quality. "Earning the Bronze Quality Award is an exclamation point on those efforts, as well as a testament to our team members' quality commitment to the families we serve."

The National Quality Award Program was implemented by AHCA/NCAL in 1996 and is centered on the core values and criteria of the nationally recognized Baldridge Performance Excellence Program. The program includes three progressive levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Trained examiners review each member application to determine if the center has met the criteria.

All 2017 National Quality Award recipients will be honored during AHCA/NCAL's Annual Convention & Exposition, October 14-18, 2017, in Las Vegas, NV.
