Minnesota Virtual Academy to Hold In-Person Graduation for Class of 2017


Minnesota Virtual Academy (MNVA), an accredited, full-time online public school, serving students in grades K through 12, will honor the Class of 2017 at a graduation ceremony on Sunday, June 4th.

One hundred and twelve students comprise this year's graduating class. MaryGrace Franz and Heather Kavaloski will serve as co-valedictorians.

Members of the Minnesota Virtual Academy Class of 2017 plan to attend colleges and universities including: Concordia College in Moorhead, Adrian College, Minnesota State University Monkato, Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Argosy University, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, University of Mary in Kansas, Benedictine College, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of Minnesota-Duluth, and Central Lakes College-Brainerd (News - Alert).

MNVA provides a rigorous, engaging curriculum, including courses in language arts/English, math, science, history, world languages, art and music, as well as high school electives and Advanced Placement® courses. Students in grades K-8 can qualify for the Advanced Learner Program, an enrichment program designed to address the abilities and interests of those who may exceed their grade level in one or more subjects. Qualified juniors and seniors can earn college credit through MNVA's Post-Secondary Enrollment Option.

Krin Abraham, Superintendent of Houston Public Schools and Head of School at MNVA, will serve as keynote speaker.
