Edmentum Names Jamie Post Candee President and CEO

Edmentum (edmentum.com), a leading provider of web-based learning solutions, today announced the appointment of Jamie Post Candee to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. The appointment is a return to Edmentum for Ms. Candee, who previously served in a variety of positions with the company from 2005 to 2014, including Chief Revenue Officer, before joining Questar Assessment as its President and CEO in 2014.

"I am honored, humbled, and excited to return to Edmentum as President and CEO," said Jamie Post Candee. "I look forward to continuing the amazing work of the Edmentum team and driving our mission to personalize learning for every student we serve."

Ms. Candee replaces Edmentum's former CEO Rob Rueckl, who led the company for the last two years, during which Edmentum launched its new personalized learning solution, Exact Path. He previously served as Edmentum's Chief Financial Officer.

"Rob has provided strong leadership these last two years and all of us at Edmentum are deeply gratful to him for steering us successfully through an important period of transition," said Mark McEachen, Chairman of the Board, Edmentum. "We now welcome Jamie Candee back to Edmentum with great excitement and confidence in her ability to drive our business forward. She is an experienced business leader with a deep understanding of education and EdTech. We look forward to capitalizing on new opportunities for growth under her dynamic leadership."

Ms. Candee brings a long and successful track record in EdTech to her new role at Edmentum, including a deep understanding of the education industry, market dynamics, and the intricacies of working effectively with state-, district-, and school-level customers. Under her leadership, Questar Assessment experienced significant and sustained growth in the large-scale K-12 education assessment industry.

During her previous tenure at Edmentum and its predecessor, PLATO Learning Inc., she led the company through a business model transition to software-as-a-service and multiple acquisitions, including Archipelago Learning and Educational Options. Prior to her role as Chief Revenue Officer, she served in a wide range of positions, including product management, marketing, sales and service, human resources, and technical consulting.
