PreVeil Publicly Unveils End-to-End Encryption App for Emails and File Sharing; Selected as a Finalist for MIT Sloan CIO Symposium's Innovation ShowcasePreVeil (www.preveil.com) today announced that its new app for end-to-end encrypted emails and file sharing is open for public beta and available to download for free at www.preveil.com and for iPhone (News - Alert) in the App Store. The company also announced that it has been selected as one of the ten finalists for the 2017 MIT Sloan CIO Symposium Innovation Showcase, recognizing PreVeil's strategic value and innovation to the digital enterprise now and in the future. Despite repeated breaches to email services like Yahoo! and the email hacks that impacted the U.S. and global elections, email remains the most common - and insecure - form of electronic communication. According to market research firm Radacati, more than 2.67 billion people use email, and by 2020, more than 257 billion emails will be sent per day. Because of its popularity, people still use email to store and send sensitive information - creating an incredibly soft target for hackers and governments. End-to-end encryption has been available for messaging apps like WhatsApp. PreVeil is now bringing powerful encryption to everyday business tools like email and file sharing so that most business communication can be protected. "Whether it's in email, or in the files we're sending, most business communications contain sensitive information that is unencrypted and ripe for exploitation by cyber attackers," said Randy Battat, co-founder and CEO, PreVeil. "PreVeil reresents a new approach to security, based on three key principles: providing end-to-end encryption with no compromises, eliminating central points of attack, and making sure that encryption is usable by all business users."
PreVeil: Encryption You'll Actually Use for Email, Files and More
The PreVeil beta is available now for free to businesses and personal users, and can be downloaded at www.preveil.com, or for iPhone in the App Store. PreVeil will be demonstrating the technology for the first time publicly today during the MIT Sloan CIO Symposium Innovation Showcase.
