Demand for Public Cloud in China Will Almost Triple by 2020 According to a recent report released by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Beijing expects the Cloud market to grow significantly over the next three years, from $22 billion to just over $65 billion USD. A recent survey1 by Forrester Research (News - Alert) found that 77%2 of Chinese enterprise infrastructure decision makers believe that using a Public Cloud platform is a high or critical priority over the next 12 months, as compared to 58% of their global peers. The official China Internet Network Information Center reported that as of the end of calendar year 2016, there were 731 million internet users3 in China, with 53.1 percent of the population online.
