Traverse Data Changes Name, Relaunches Website, and Brings in Funding From Industry Insiders


Traverse, LLC announced today that it changed its name to Traverse Data, Inc., raised $1MM in funding, and relaunched its brand on www.traversedata.com. The largest independent source of deterministic match data will use these funds to introduce its new branding to market, accelerate new product launches, and make strategic sales hires.

"Traverse's growth has been spurred by an increasing demand for alternative sources of deterministic match data, and our differentiated offering has put us in a great position to fulfill this need," says Traverse CEO and Co-Founder, Craig Swerdloff. The $1 million comes from a variety of industry insiders.

The company's new tagline, "Securely navigating the people-based marketing landscape", describes its service to publishers and companies in the advertising and marketing technology industries. For publishers, Traverse generates incremental revenu by providing a secure way to license hashed registration data to ad tech companies. It currently has a network of 70 publisher partners and sees data on several hundred million unique individuals in the US each month. Ad tech companies, pursuing accurate identity resolution and cross device targeting, use this de-identified user data to put more accurate data products in the hands of marketers.
