Bank of the Pacific Modernizes its Employee Portal with Banc Intranets

Banc Intranets, a provider of secure, web-based enterprise content management solutions for financial institutions, announced that Bank of the Pacific ($871 million, Aberdeen (News - Alert), Wash.) is leveraging its BancWorks® employee intranet to centralize employee communications and maintain an organized, easy-to-navigate repository of important announcements, documents and procedures across its 18 branches in the Pacific Northwest.

Having outgrown its HTML-based intranet, Bank of the Pacific sought to modernize communications and access to information for its more than 200 employees. After considering multiple solutions, the bank chose BancWorks for its ability to eliminate data redundancy and centralize important information and updates, and because the system allows each department to manage its own pages independently and can be operated on-premises, providing additional control. The bank also cited Banc Intranets' specialized expertise and familiarity with banks as a deciding factor.

"We've grown rapidly in recent years and needed a way to keep information centralized, current and accessible to employees - whether they've been here for a day or for a decade - while also removing the burden on our IT department so that they can focus their efforts more efficiently," said Kris Liedtke, VP and project manager of Bank of the Pacifi. "BancWorks is the answer. It's user-friendly and allows departments to communicate directly, while also cataloging information to ensure that everyone is up to speed on internal and external initiatives."

"Streamlined day-to-day communications is the heartbeat of any financial institution and to remain successful, a growing bank must have information management systems that pace its expansion," said Mark Anderson, founder and CEO of Banc Intranets. "By prioritizing efficiency in how internal information is managed and distributed, Bank of the Pacific is building upon its existing foundation of exceptional service and enhances the methods by which it serves the financial needs of its community."
