The session, entitled "Fiber-to-the-Desk Connectivity Solutions for Dell PCs and Wyse Thin Clients," will cover Transition Networks' family of Gigabit Ethernet fiber-to-the-desk NICs tat deliver both fiber connectivity to a PC, but also provides Power-over-Ethernet plus (PoE+) securely to a copper-based powered device, such as an IP phone. The discussion will also address its mini stand-alone media converter and chassis options ideal for simplifying physical layer applications, as well as the ION Platform which is designed for more complex fiber integration needs. The company will also demonstrate a government use case of a successful national deployment of a PoE security solution within an intelligence agency.
