The company will be introducing new products for implementing fiber into Ethernet networks, such as fiber network interface card (NIC) with a PoE+ port and other fast Ethernet and gigabit Ethernet fiber NICs recently certified by Dell EMC, the Dell EMC certified Scorpion-USB™ 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet Fiber Adapter, and an 18-slot mini media converter chassis to consolidate copper-to-fiber media conversion equipment.

Dell EMC World 2017 marks the first time the Dell Technologies family of brands will be all in one place, all at one conference. The conference will bring together more than 12,000 IT practitioners and business leaders who are making digital transformation a reality.

During the conference on Monday, May 8 at 8:15 pm, Transition Networks will participate in a World Chat session in the Solutions Expo. The session, entitled "Fiber-to-the-Desk Connectivity Solutions for Dell PCs and Wyse Thin Clients," will cover Transition Networks' family of Gigabit Ethernet fiber-to-the-desk NICs tat deliver both fiber connectivity to a PC, but also provides Power-over-Ethernet plus (PoE+) securely to a copper-based powered device, such as an IP phone. The discussion will also address its mini stand-alone media converter and chassis options ideal for simplifying physical layer applications, as well as the ION Platform which is designed for more complex fiber integration needs. The company will also demonstrate a government use case of a successful national deployment of a PoE security solution within an intelligence agency.
