Syncsort Ironstream® Integration with Compuware Application Audit™ Enables Machine Learning-Driven Security Analytics

Syncsort, a global leader in data liberation, integrity and integration solutions for next-generation analytics, today announced new integration between its Big Iron to Big Data powerhouse Ironstream®, and Compuware Corporation's Application Audit software that delivers real-time machine data to Splunk (News - Alert)® Enterprise Security (ES) for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). The new integration dramatically improves an organization's ability to detect threats against critical mainframe data, correlate them with related information and events and satisfy compliance requirements.

Syncsort's recent "State of the Mainframe Survey," ranked security and compliance mandates as the top corporate objective, and will be a key driver for technology evaluations and purchases this year. The survey showed that reducing security exposures, fulfilling audit requirements and addressing compliance requirements has become a key initiative for IT executives and IT organizations.

Syncsort allows organizations to trial its free Ironstream Starter Edition for moving z/OS Syslog and Abend-AID data into Splunk® Enterprise. Unlike a typical technology trial, Syncsort allows organizations to use the Starter Edition to move the data without a time limit.
