NIC Inc. and Wayne National Forest Launch Digital PermitsThe U.S. Forest Service (USFS) and digital government services provider NIC (News - Alert) Inc. (NASDAQ: EGOV) are offering a new paper-free, smartphone-enabled method for visitors to pay recreation fees at Wayne National Forest through an online service called "YourPassNow." Wayne National Forest trails open April 15, 2017, and trail uses other than hiking requires a permit. This year visitors will have the option of purchasing and presenting permits digitally through YourPassNow. YourPassNow simplifies the process of paying for permits by allowing visitors the opportunity to purchase them online with no additional fees. Visitors can present their permit immediately, store it on their mobile device for later or print it.
