CARLSBAD, Calif., April 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Nortek Security & Control, a leader in the security, home control, and wellness technology markets, today announces the expansion of its award-winning Linear® e3 access control product line with the launch of Linear BluePass mobile credentials and readers for commercial and enterprise applications, as well as the introduction of the e3 Tele Entry system for multi-dwelling buildings and gated communities.

Today, many businesses are looking to migrate away from their outdated, inflexible and unwieldy RFID card or keyfob-based physical access control systems in favor of smartphone-based credentials. However, the challenge for many is their current budgets do not allow for complete "forklift" upgrades of their existing access control systems.

Nortek Security & Control's Linear BluePass is the perfect solution by offering a complete ecosystem of smartphone/tablet-based mobile credentials, user and dealer apps, and multi-tech Bluetooth readers that provide a more secure, easy to use approach to access control. BluePass reduces total cost of ownership by protecting the customer's existing system controller and software investments and enables a smooth migration from legacy credentials using both the multi-tech readers and a cloud-based credential issuance and management portal. Designed for a new generation of users, the Tele Entry system simplifis the user experience and speeds up the process of locating and contacting residents with an intuitive 4.3" color screen interface that minimizes click-thru steps via visual navigation prompts and voice guidance. The e3 Tele Entry system is easy to manage via the browser-based Remote Management Console that is shared across all three of the Linear e3 access control family members. Additionally, the e3 Tele Entry offers an optional ArmorTech™ housing that stands up to the elements.
