Independent Research Firm Names SAP® Fieldglass® Portfolio a Leader Among Services Procurement Providers

CHICAGO, April 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced that the SAP® Fieldglass® portfolio of external talent management and services procurement solutions is positioned as a leader in "The Forrester Wave™: Services Procurement, Q1 2017." Forrester Research, Inc., evaluated SAP Fieldglass solutions against 40 criteria in three main categories: current offering, strategy and market presence.

Forrester, a leading research firm, included two versions of its Wave in the report — one focusing on services procurement solutions for contingent workers and other services, and the other on contingent workers only. In the report, Forrester said it believes the future of services procurement lies beyond contingent workers, in helping firms manage a larger volume of spend on statement-of-work consulting, outsourcing services and business services.

"SAP Fieldglass retains its position as a leader in this market," wrote Andrew Bartels, vice president and principal analyst, Forrester, in the report. "SAP Fieldglass continues to be one of the most capable services procurement vendors, with the largest client base, the most spend under management and the widest geographic presence." The report also noted that SAP Fieldglass solutions provide "very effective coverage of all aspects of contingent worker and freelancer engagement and competitive coverage of other services categories."

In both versions of the evaluation, SAP Fieldglass solutions received the highest scores among all providers in the "functionality: contingent workers" criterion, and among the highest scores in the "functionality: freelance workers, technology and integration" criteria, as well aspositive ratings from reference clients for usability and vendor support.

"We are helping our customers change the way work gets done by bringing them innovations to better manage external talent and services to support their increasingly fast-paced global enterprises," said Rob Brimm, president, SAP Fieldglass. "We are committed to helping companies transform how they manage one of their most valuable assets — their external talent."
