FileWave, a Leader in Multi-Platform Device Management, Announces Chromebook Support, Apple Enhancements and More in Version 12 Release

INDIANAPOLIS, April 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- FileWave, a leader in multi-platform device management, announced the release of FileWave version 12. Highlights of the release include Chromebook support, new Apple management capabilities, native UEFI imaging for Windows and over 100 improvements.

Chromebook Support
With the addition of Chrome OS, FileWave strengthens its commitment to multi-platform unified endpoint management. Customers can now manage macOS, iOS, Windows, Chrome OS and Android devices – all from one console. This unique ability to manage all platforms from a single console significantly reduces the time, effort and cost needed for organizations to effectively support their users and devices.

Integration with FileWave Inventory, Device Tracking and Engage, FileWave's classroom management tool, are just some of the new of Chromebook capabilities. FileWave also adds several search and sorting features not available in Google Admin, making it easier for IT administrators to perform routine tasks.

Apple Enhancements
FileWave 12 includes comprehensive support for Apple's newest operating systems – tvOS 10.2, iOS 10.3 and macOS Sierra 10.12.4. New features, restrictons and payload capabilities provide FileWave administrators with better control, enhancing organizations' Apple experience.

Enhancements to ASM (Apple School Manager) and support for DEP enrollment and Setup Assistant configuration, including Apple's new "zero-touch" deployment, are also included in FileWave 12.

Expanded Windows Imaging Capabilities
FileWave Imaging version 5 expands upon FileWave's Imaging solution for Windows by adding support for native UEFI-based imaging mode. This provides support for newer devices, such as the HP Stream, Microsoft Surface Pro, Dell Latitude and many more that do not have a legacy BIOS-compatibility mode for network booting.

Additionally, several imaging improvements have been implemented to increase the overall performance and stability.

FileWave Admin Improvements
In addition to the new features mentioned above, FileWave 12 also includes over 100 improvements designed to enhance existing FileWave products and features.
