TUGG Makes Boston Event to Grant $140,000 to Six Local Non-Profits
TUGG,
the non-profit arm of Boston's tech community, today announced details
around the organization's TUGG Makes Boston event, the 11th
Annual Wine and Tequila Party. The event brings the Boston tech
community together to raise funds and support six local startup
non-profits to propel social innovation.

WHAT:

TUGG
Makes Boston, the 11th Annual Wine and Tequila
Party, is the largest party in Boston tech. The newest members of
the TUGG family, Mbadika, Tech Goes Home and Media Girls, will be
introduced to event-goers alongside current portfolio non-profits First
Teacher, Resilient
Coders and WeThrive.
Attendees will learn about each organization's mission and cast a
vote so their favorite non-profit can take home $10,000 - $50,000.

Here are TUGG's newest non-profits:

Mbadika
provides hardware and engineering workshops for under-resourced youth
to inspire young innovators and entrepreneurs;

Tech
Goes Home is an initiative that brings digital access and basic
technology training to underserved families as an entryway to the
digital age;

Media
Girls empowers middle school girls to know their self-worth and to
utilize social media to take a stand on meaningful issues.
