The lineup of speakers includes Mike Turpen, a former Attorney General of the Stat of Oklahoma, Michael Hunter, the current state Attorney General and John Doak, the current Insurance Commissioner of Oklahoma. The three men spoke passionately about their work in public service, which was met with tremendous applause.

Turpen, who served as the state Attorney General from 1983 - 1987, is co-host of the long running, Emmy award winning television show, Flash Point. He presently practices law in Oklahoma City with the firm, Riggs, Abney, Neal, Turpen, Orbison and Lewis, and is sought after nationally as a public speaker.

"Public service levels the playing field and balances the field of justice," noted Turpen.

Doak was sworn into office in 2011 as the 12th Insurance Commissioner of Oklahoma. Under Commissioner Doak's leadership, the Oklahoma Insurance Department (OID) has been transformed into a proactive consumer-oriented governmental body that is physically present to provide consumer assistance to those who have been impacted by catastrophic events such as tornadoes, wildfires, and earthquakes. Commissioner Doak has received significant support from Oklahoma media by airing public service announcements that educate Oklahomans about their insurance coverage and services offered through the Oklahoma Insurance Department.

"We thank you for everything you're doing for consumers, you're doing a great job," said Doak. "I hope that some of you will consider a career in public service as an elected official. We need more of you."

Hunter, the former Oklahoma Secretary of State and first assistant attorney general, was appointed to the position of attorney general in February 2017. He worked as chief legal advisor for the former administration, overseeing a staff of more than 200 lawyers, law enforcement agents and staff.

"Access to good legal counsel is invaluable," he said. "You're giving people peace of mind. Very few people have that opportunity."

"We're proud to call these gentlemen friends and supporters of LegalShield," said Jeff Bell, CEO of LegalShield. "Making a living while making a difference, and being a servant leader, is one of the company's core values."
