Salsify Announces Third STEM Education Event with Boston Public School StudentsBOSTON, March 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Salsify,the SaaS platform that powers the seamless creation and exchange of rich product content from brands to retailers, today announced its third STEM education event for Boston Public School students will be held on Friday, March 3. This event furthers the company's mission to contribute to increasing diversity and ensuring a strong pipeline of local STEM workers from schools in Boston. The ongoing program offers exposure in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math to help close the ever-growing skills gap in these fields. Salsify will host middle school students from TechBoston Academy in Dorchester for a day of hands-on learning alongside employees to design, build and present prototypes of their own problem-solving software. The students will have the opportunity to present their innovations in a 'Shark Tank' style cmpetition to a panel of judges who will select a winner. Judges include Rory Cudder, the Startup Manager for the City of Boston and Tim Smith, Director of Innovation Partnerships at the Boston Foundation. The initiative is a collaboration with Boston Public Schools, is endorsed by Boston's Mayor Martin J. Walsh and is a long-term investment in Boston's tech community.
