ANSER Expands National Footprint with Advanced Technology International (ATI) Acquisition

Analytic Services Inc. (ANSER), a public service research institute organized as a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to informing decisions that shape the nation's future, today announced it has acquired South Carolina-based Advanced Technology International (ATI), a not-for-profit company that organizes and manages Research & Development (R&D) consortia on behalf of the federal government. Through this acquisition, represented by the law firm of Holland & Knight, ANSER gains approximately 165 employees bringing its total headcount to 515 and revenue growth increases to $500 million per annum.

ATI has an unprecedented network of 700 businesses through membership in the consortia they manage. The company currently supports federal R&D programs that include participation from a diverse range of industries such as shipbuilding, metal parts manufacturing, composite applications, healthcare, Department of Defense (DoD) prototypes and electromagnetic spectrum. Through these relationships ATI builds and manages industry/government/academia teams to address the nation's technological challenges. With this acquisition, ANSER blends its government problem-solving heritage with ATI's tehnical expertise to advance the company's "for purpose public service" mission of conducting programs for the public welfare and security of the Country.

"As a not-for-profit, ANSER maintains its legacy of public service through objective analysis and thought leadership independent of commercial influences and those of outside financial stakeholders," said Carmen Spencer, President and Chief Executive Officer of ANSER. "This acquisition gives us greater visibility of important defense technology developments across the country. That knowledge will enable us to better advise our government clients about the range of solutions at their disposal, thereby enhancing the value we deliver. This acquisition represents our continued commitment to deliver informed decisions that shape the nation's future."

Keeping all positions intact, ATI will continue to provide its successful leadership of R&D collaborations from its base in South Carolina. ANSER also has an office in Colorado Springs, CO. Through these physical locations ANSER is now doing work across 44 States. Looking ahead, this acquisition not only diversifies and enhances the company's offerings, but leverages economies of scale to make them available at a much lower and more competitive price point.

"The alliance between our two organizations creates an interesting and unusual partnership that links the application of innovation to a myriad of complex subject areas," said Chris Van Metre, President and CEO of ATI. "The opportunity to join forces with ANSER enables this newly integrated team to develop technology around the country and transition technology innovation into practical applications. This is a great day for ATI because it will help us continue to have a positive impact on helping our government customers fulfill their missions."
