i24 News to Launch 24/7 News Channel in the U.S.


i24 News, the only 24/7 international news and current affairs channel from the heart of the Middle East, announced today that it will launch a U.S. news channel, providing a unique approach to domestic and international news for American audiences. i24 News has established its U.S. headquarters in New York City's Times Square, with a separate bureau in Washington, D.C. which will both be staffed by local journalists. With major studio hubs now in the U.S., Israel and Europe, i24 News will offer live news reports daily to American viewers, establishing a unique and connected international news organization in the marketplace.

i24 News was founded in 2013 by Patrick Drahi, the founder and controlling shareholder of Altice N.V. (Euronext: ATC, ATCB), and has become a leading international news organization around the world. With its global headquarters in Tel Aviv, i24 News is available in millions of households worldwide including Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The new U.S. channel will launch on Monday, February 13 and its first distribution partner is Altice USA.

News Organization

i24 News global headquarters in Tel Aviv has three separate studios that each broadcast in a different language - English, French and Arabic - a model that allows viewers access to the same news but in their preferred local language. With the launch of a U.S. headquarters and studios in New York City and Washington D.C., i24 News viewers around the globe will now hear directly from the U.S., and American viewers will be connected to new perspectives from around the world.


i24 News currently has more than 250 journalists, representing 35 different nationalities. i24 News has built its U.S. news team with best-in-class local talent with approximately 50 positions to support the New York City and Washington D.C. bureaus. The U.S. news team will be announced in the coming weeks.

Programming

Programming for i24 News in the U.S. will include hard news and interviews with a focus on both domestic and international news. The U.S. channel will broadcast in English and provide content from its studios in New York City, Washington, D.C., Tel Aviv and Paris. At its initial launch, i24 News will be available in the U.S. on Altice USA's Optimum (News - Alert) TV (Optimum TV Channel 102) and Suddenlink TV systems (for channel location please see local lineup).
