Marxent to Showcase Virtual Reality and 3D Product Strategies for the Entire Customer Journey at NRF 2017

At this year's National Retail Federation (NRF)'s BIG Show 2017, Marxent, the leader in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) for products and spaces, will offer live 3D product experiences to bridge the gap between digital and physical retail channels for the entire customer journey. For the first time, Marxent will publically showcase two innovative applications designed for brick-and-mortar retail environments. Attendees will be able to demo both an in-store virtual reality furniture showroom that pairs a head mounted display with a tablet-based design app, in addition to a Samsung (News - Alert) 85" 4K professional touchscreen display (QM85D) used to demonstrate an appliance showroom for 3D point-of-sale (POS) displays or space constrained locations.

Working closely with top retailers, Marxent has developed augmented and virtual reality visualization and configuration solutions that take advantage of the unique properties of smart 3D products. Their NRF exhibit is focused on methods for using 3D products to fuel location-based shopping during the customer journey by making shopping in-store more convenient and helping customers to make better decisions faster.

Marxent's VisualCommerce™ platform manages 3D product content that can be exported to a range of 3D experiences appropriate to various points in the retail customer journey - from at-home AR apps and web visualizers to immersive in-store touchscreen and VR apps.

"Retailers are motivated to prioritize the retail customer experience and use these emerging technologies to make shopping more exciting and convenient," said Beck Besecker, CEO and co-founder of Marxent. "There has always been friction between brick-and-mortar and digital. Our 3D product solutions for mixed commerce seamlessly blend the best of each a every point in the customer's journey to increase customer satisfaction and exceed the expectations of modern shoppers no matter how, when or where they want to shop."

"A customer's vision is realized with large format immersive displays. Retailers now have the ability to provide a complete display solution design integration tool with the most accurate recreation of detail, to assist their customers with home improvement options," said Ron Gazzola, Vice President of Marketing, Visual Display, Samsung Electronics America.

"The ability to personalize virtual products and experience them in the immersive 3D environments will be an extremely powerful tool for retailers," said Ted Brodheim, VP Vertical Business at Samsung Electronics. "We are excited to partner with Marxent to unveil the interactive virtual showroom at NRF this year."

At Marxent's booth, NRF attendees will be able to test drive an in-store VisualCommerce™ VR Showroom shopping app designed for a major retail installation and the 360-degree VisualCommerce™ Touch Screen Showroom app. Both are powered by Marxent's VisualCommerce™ platform for configuring and visualizing products in 3D.

"NRF's Big Show is designed to help retailers learn about the latest innovations in retail. If you're at NRF this year and you want to see what the future looks like, this is what it looks like. AR and VR, along with evolved 3D product strategies, have arrived for retail and you'll be one of the first to experience it first hand," Besecker said.
