CES 2017: Automotive Grade Linux OTA Solution Ready for Renesas R-Car platformLAS VEGAS, January 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hagiwara Electric Co.,Ltd. from Japan and ATS Advanced Telematic Systems from Germany will demonstrate the integration of an open source-based over-the-air (OTA) software update solution into the Renesas R-Car platform. The jointly developed proof of concept will be presented at a GENIVI showcase event during CES 2017. ATS OTA Plus is integrated with Automotive Grade Linux (AGL), a project of The Linux Foundation dedicated to creating open source software solutions for automotive applications. The Renesas Electronics Corporation from Japan is one of the world's leading automotive semiconductor manufacturers. "Together with our partner ATS, we have developed a software implementation to embed ATS's server/client OTA solution into Renesas Electronics's 'R-Car' IVI SoC for connected cars.
