SageNet Selected as Preferred North American Reseller of SIEMonster Information Security Management Software and Services

Tulsa-based SageNet has been selected as the preferred North American reseller of SIEMonster, a ground-breaking open source Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform.

SIEMonster is a turnkey SIEM system that enables organizations of any size to detect and monitor security threats to their enterprise. The platform is built on scalable, open source components. It is fully documented and has no data or node limitations. Unlike traditionally licensed SIEMs that often prove cost-prohibitive for many organizations, the community version of SIEMonster is available as a free download. Premium and Multi-tenancy versions are also available for purchase from SageNet.

The SIEMonster community version offers a full suite of dashboards, plugins and incident response tools, including integrated ticketing systems to make a complete SIEM and Security Operations Center (SOC) solution. It also includes a suite of documentation such as standard operating procedures, detailed designs, DR fail over, backups and installation guides.

According to Paul Truitt, SageNet's Chief Information Security Officer and Vice President of Cybersecurity Services, the ability to utilize a free and open source SIEMonster platform gives any organization of any size access to an enterprise security solution.

"The cost of enterprise security-monitoring tools typically puts them out of reach of resource-challenged companies," said Truitt. "SIEMonster gives them the ability to detect and monitor dangerous security threats and protect their assets - all at a very low cost. This is a game-changing security platform, and SageNet is very excited to work with the SIEMonster team."

SIEMonster was developed by Kustodian, a global security company that specializes in cybersecurity consulting and software solutions.

"Selecting the right partner in North America was a critical decision in penetrating a mature commercial landscape - we needed experts who were highly specialized, dynamic and resourceful," said Chris Rock, CEO of Kustodian. "SageNet is a true extension of SIEMonster and we are lucky to be workingwith them. Five years from now, we will look on this partnership decision and know it was the best decision we ever made on this journey."

SageNet CEO Daryl Woodard agreed. "We're proud to team with Kustodian to bring this ground-breaking platform to North America," said Woodard. "As a provider of managed network services, our customers often operate hundreds if not thousands of locations. Protecting corporate and consumer data is their highest priority. The ability to deliver a cybersecurity solution that is effective, scalable and affordable is a win/win for SageNet, our customers and our customers' customers."

As the preferred North American reseller of SIEMonster, SageNet offers companies a variety of ways to access the popular SIEM platform:

  • Free Community Edition with training videos and Open Source (News - Alert) Threat Intelligence
  • Premium Edition RRP ($4,999 annual subscription)
  • Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) multi-tenancy edition that is available for MSSPs wanting SIEM as a Service and SOC in a box.

In addition, SageNet is offering two levels of annual SIEMonster support, tailored to fit an organization's technical needs and internal resources. The support packages include troubleshooting, end node development, dashboard development, and integration services.

SageNet will be demonstrating SIEMonster in booth #2520 at the National Retail Federation's The BIG Show being held Jan. 15-17, 2017 in New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. SageNet cybersecurity experts will be on hand to discuss SageNet's full line of cybersecurity solutions, which includes: security strategy, cybersecurity assessments, compliance assessments, cloud security, security intelligence, e-discovery, managed security programs, virtual CISO services and managed security services.

About Kustodian

Kustodian has extensive experience in commercial SIEM offerings like Splunk ES, AlienVault (News - Alert) and ArcSight and welcomed the challenge to build something with only open source software. Kustodian successfully developed and deployed SIEMonster into a global enterprise in 2015. With that success, other enterprise companies requested SIEMonster for their organizations. Using open source, companies can modify the code to suit their business, are not tied to a specific vendor and no longer need to pay license fees.
