DOJ's Office for Victims of Crime Selects ICF for $39 Million Technical Assistance Services Contract

The U.S. Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) has selected ICF (NASDAQ:ICFI), a consulting and technology services provider to government and commercial clients around the world, for a $38.8 million re-compete task order to help the agency strengthen the capacity of victim services organizations around country. The agreement, which was awarded in the third quarter, has a term of five years including one base and four option years.

"There is more pressure than ever on victim services providers to predict, prepare and respond to violent and traumatic events with a focus on long-term recovery," said Patrick Coleman, senior vice president at ICF. "With more than 14 years of experience helping OVC build capacity, ICF understands the critical capabilities and technical services needed to continue to improve the support OVC provides to the victims and the families it serves."

ICF brings a wide range of services to support OVC's Training and Technical Assistance Center, the gateway to training and technical assistance for victim service providers and allied professionals. ICF will provide state-of-the-art, multi-format training and customized technical assistance to new and seasoned providers, volunteers, professionals and advocates, as well as special initiative support to programs that promote the fair and just treatment of all victims, including victims of terrorism and mass violence.

For more than 14 years, ICF has helped build the capacity of seasoned and emerging crime victim assistance organizations - training communities on how to manage the influx of donations following an incident, training military advocates on how to better serve sexual assault victims in the armed forces and helping states assess capacity and identify critical funding needs to better serve victims. Many of our experts come from the victim services field and have first-hand experience in crafting service responses that respect victims and avoid re-victimization.
