WebinarJam's New "JamSession Room" Ends Reliance on Google Hangouts

SAN DIEGO, Dec. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The newest iteration of the powerful Live Event application, WebinarJam, will not rely on Google Hangouts, Genesis Digital announced today.  The application entered BETA phase this morning, several dozen power users having been tapped to fully test the app pending BETA release to all customers in mid-December.

Introducing The JamSession Virtual Meeting Space.

This improved WebinarJam, featuring the revolutionary "JamSession" room technology, marks a final departure from the increasingly unreliable Google Hangouts app.  Not only does the JamSession room allow complete independence from Hangouts, it provides a dramatically improved experience for the customer.  It is higher-quality, faster, easier to set up, and allows presenters to be on the screen simultaneously rather than being limited to Hangout's "Speaker and Thumbnails" format.

"This is a huge step, not only as a company, but as people who use webnars in their business. Since its inception, we've slotted in-house technology as the future of WebinarJam. The recent changes to Google acted as a welcome catalyst to rolling out this new framework for our brainchild. Hangouts served us well. But now we can do better, so we will," said Genesis Digital CEO, Andy Jenkins.

The JamSession room will be rolled out to current customers, available in the existing user interface, free of charge.  This highly anticipated update to the broadcasting platform is just the first of three specifically assigned phases of the software's advancement.

3 Stages of Innovation Underway.

"We've christened the phases of implementation as Stroll, Sprint, Soar. This allows for the greatest of changes to be made in a seamless way for our customers and creates a virtual environment with almost zero learning curve. Our power users can continue to run webinars without missing a step, and new users can learn the system with an efficiency that just isn't available in Hangouts," says Gideon Marcus, COO. "With each phase comes killer new features, more precise technology, and improved user interface."

"We anticipate a BETA for the Sprint stage as early as January.  Of course, as with the Stroll stage, we'll be pushing it out to a hand selected group to really stress test the system. Our customers have come to expect over-delivery and we think they deserve just that. This product is years of planning coming to fruition. We're going to do it right, do it well, and in such a way that everyone can afford it."
