NEORIS Celebrates 6th Edition of Global Corporate Social Responsibility Event "NEOfrontiers Day" in Partnership with Junior Achievement

NEORIS, a global business and IT consulting company, announced it was partnering for the sixth time with Junior Achievement (JA) Americas to host the job shadowing and mentoring program NEOfrontiers Day in major cities around the world. In the spirit of "ONE NEORIS," NEOfrontiers Day is part of NEORIS' Corporate Social Responsibility program, which seeks to expose students to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as they share a workday with company executives so they can explore their own entrepreneurial ideas through hands-on skills training.

Launched in 2010, NEOfrontiers Day continues adding cities to the roster of offices participating with employees in Bogota (Colombia) and Santiago (Chile) mentoring students for the first time ever. These will join the traditional country offices that participate, which include: Buenos Aires (Argentina), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Monterrey (Mexico), Madrid (Spain) and Miami (U.S. and global corporate headquarters). NEOfrontiers Day 2016 takes place on Tuesday, November 22 as NEORIS employees share their work day with high school students a these offices worldwide.

NEOfrontiers Day seeks to expose students to STEM careers by allowing them the opportunity to observe and participate in a typical workday at NEORIS. In this way, NEORIS is contributing to Junior Achievement's purpose to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

The program has become a resounding success over the last six years and is already bearing fruit. Organizers of the global event are hoping the high school students who participate in this edition will follow in the footsteps of Alejandro Hason, the first ever progeny of the NEOfrontiers Day and now a full-fledged employee in Rosario (Argentina).

NEORIS embraces entrepreneurship from the highest levels of the organization and understands firsthand how tech startups can evolve into major industry players. For said reason, NEORIS CEO Martin Mendez, vividly recalls how he began his own professional career when he co-founded Amtec.net along with three business partners fresh out of college in 1996. The company was the first technology startup in Argentina to obtain external capital to finance growth and in the middle of the Internet boom sold the thriving Amtec.net to NEORIS, a subsidiary of CEMEX Group, one of the most important cement producers worldwide.

Mendez will address students participating in the job shadowing program at NEORIS offices around the globe via video conference, hoping to support, inspire and cultivate the next generation of business and technology leaders by sharing his own personal success story.

Join our global celebration on November 22 on social media by following the hashtags #NEOfrontiers2016 and #InspiringYouth.
