Wirecard and Gastro-MIS Optimise Payment Solutions for Food IndustryMUNICH, November 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
The global payment service provider Wirecard has partnered up with food retail specialists Gastro-MIS, a company that already integrated software solutions in more than 4000 cash registers in Germany. Today, card payments are already an integral part of the food service industry. Consumers are increasingly used to carrying less cash and prefer to use more flexible alternatives in restaurants, bars and cafés. Wirecard will be offering together with Gastro-MIS participating restaurateurs a mobile point of sale (mPOS) solution in addition to standard terminals at the point of sale (POS) in future. For this partnership, Wirecard will provide hardware as well as processing and acceptance of all common forms of payments at the POS. Additionally, the payment expert will act as the acquirer for cashless payment processing. The relevant payment solution is integrated into the existing cash register system depending on the restaurant and counter.
