Dermatology Group Offers Free Online Consultations to Combat Acne Bullying

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Bullying is a serious issue in many schools, and it can take on many different forms. Teasing, hitting, spreading rumors, leaving kids out and cyberbullying are just a few examples. Unfortunately, kids that are bullied have a hard time standing up for themselves, and they feel sad, lonely and even depressed. Most of these kids have low self esteem and have few friends. Many kids, specially high school students, are also bullied for their skin conditions, most commonly acne.

Not In Our Town will host Bullying Prevention Month Online Film Festivals, where for each day of the month NOIT will launch a short film about standing up to bullying and intolerance. Throughout the community, there are nonprofits, schools, and community groups that directly collaborate with PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center sharing resources — such as classroom toolkits, free bookmarks, awareness raising ideas, petition signing — to directly engage, educate and empower students.
