Norton Rose Fulbright today announced that Michael A. Yuffee, an energy regulatory and enforcement lawyer, has joined the global law firm's Washington, DC office as a partner.

Yuffee comes to Norton Rose Fulbright from Reed Smith LLP. He focuses his practice on regulatory, enforcement defense, compliance and transactional matters relating to the energy and commodities markets. He has extensive experience representing clients in regulatory proceedings and investigation matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Yuffee's clients include global commodities trading houses, financial institutions, wholesale power suppliers and integrated energy companies, for which he develops regulatory compliance programs. He also represents clients in both public and private investigations and enforcement actions.

Previously, Yuffee was an attorney-advisor in FERC's Office of Administrative Law Judges and Dispute Resolution, where he assisted in all aspects of electricity and natural gas rate proceedings,mergers and utility restructuring.
