Virginia Auditor Training Portal Recognized as Efficiency DriverThe Virginia Office of the State Inspector General's new Auditor Training Portal was recognized with a 2016 Governor's Technology Award in IT as Efficiency Driver - Government to Government category. Presented to honorees on behalf of Governor Terry McAuliffe at the Commonwealth of Virginia Innovative Technology Symposium (COVITS), the prestigious award recognizes public sector technology projects that improve government service delivery and efficiency. The portal was also recently recognized in a nationwide voting process by members of the state and local government IT community with a 2016 StateScoop 50 Award for IT Program of the Year. The award honors innovative technology initiatives and solutions helping to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of state or local government.
